ICABE 2024 CALL

Currently, Europe is grappling with its most significant security crisis in decades, triggered by the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine. Simultaneously, the war between Israel and Hamas, coupled with the intervention of Iran, Hezbollah, and Houthis, could create an unforeseen and challenging environment for Europe in the years to come.
These conflicts not only impose a substantial economic toll but also underscore the urgency of addressing present and future challenges. These include technological advancements and their unintended consequences, demographic shifts, labor market transformations, climate change, and the implementation of ESG measures to safeguard people and societies.
The economic, geopolitical, and social changes in Europe necessitate a coordinated response in a rapidly evolving world of threats. To promote greater convergence and sustainable economic development, it is crucial to implement comprehensive and tailored strategies.
The upcoming years will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Europe and its position on the global economic stage, with significant influence from technological and economic spheres.
The ICABE 2024 conference, titled “Navigating the Future: Opportunities, Challenges, ECONOMIC/ECONOMIC FUNDAMENTALS in the ESG Era,” delves into these pressing issues. It offers valuable insights from scientists, professors, experts, professionals, industry leaders, policymakers, and institution representatives, sharing their research and perspectives with the broader community to provide a glimpse into the latest trends and knowledge in this scientific field.
Global challenges are profoundly shaping the world economy and politics, broadening the scope of geopolitics to include new areas such as technology, environment, and health. Following the Ukraine war and the military conflicts with negative consequences in world trade, the European Union has actively engaged in global technology politics, positioning itself not only as a major global technology player but also as a key participant in geopolitical and international development.
The ICABE 2024 conference attracts a global audience as it explores various crucial aspects connected to the economic, geopolitical, and social progress in Europe. It fosters valuable insights and advances in research to promote optimal innovations in these scientific fields.
As such, we encourage authors to submit both theoretical and empirical contributions aligned with the conference’s overarching theme, “Navigating the Future: Opportunities, Challenges, and ECONOMIC/ ECONOMICS FUNDAMENTALS in the ESG Era”. Submissions may encompass topics such as Economics/Environmental Economics, Business/Leadership, Finance, Sustainability, Governance, Social Responsibility, Innovation, Risk Management, Big Data, ESG, globalization, sustainable economic development, the evolution of economic models, welfare economics, inclusive growth, geopolitical conflicts (both military and non-military), economic and financial crises, technological innovation, digital disruption, artificial intelligence, inequality, labor market institutions, international investment, migration, specialization and trade, business environment, and competitiveness, among others.
All contributions submitted must be original and not have been previously published or under consideration by other publishers. It is mandatory that all papers be written in English.
The objective is to foster discussions that cater to academics and researchers, CEOs and managers of both private and public companies, specialists and consultants, policymakers, and labor market observatories, along with others interested in the specified issues.
Consequently, we encourage contributions that advance both theoretical and empirical research, enhancing the comprehension of current issues in the domain. All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process and will be published in the conference proceedings as well as various journals.
For detailed author guidelines and submission instructions, please refer to: https://icabe.gr/guidelines-for-authors
